Su felt her heart just about break when Shang looked at her like that, "I'm sorry...I-" She broke off unable to finish her sentence, he was right...she had let the other side of him fuck her. Hell she had even enjoyed it...but he didn't understand that his other side had changed. She couldn't explain any of this in a way that Shang would be receptive towards, and she couldn't blame him for being so upset with her. "I love you." She said, knowing that he'd think the words held no merit even though she was being totally and completely honest with him. The other side of him while it held a darker edge was far kinder now, but Shang couldn't see that. And Su had a feeling he never would, even worse she despaired that he wouldn't want anything to with her after this.

Shang stared at her for a moment before he shook his head and grabbed his shirt from the floor. He didn't even know what to say to her or even how to respond anymore. It was like he didn't even hear her words as he stormed out of the house and into the woods surrounding their little home. It didn't even matter that it was already dark out as night had advanced. He was gone for hours. Shang wasn't even sure what he was doing out here, all he knew was that he had to get away. He had to have time to think. In the back of his mind, he could feel that darker side of him trying to catch his attention but he ignored it. He stayed out all night, fighting with that other side of him. Even though he had resisted, his other side revealed to him parts of his conversation with Su but it only made him more confused. Su wanted the two sides of him to combine? Was that even possible? She didn't know that side of him...If he willingly released it and something happened to her, he would be to blame for even allowing an opportunity to exist. Shang finally returned home as the sun was coming up, trying to be quiet as he entered in case Su was still sleep. If she tried to speak to him, he wasn't even sure what he would say to her..

Su slowly changed into a thermal nightgown, her body was still pleasantly sore from earlier and all she could think about was her argument with Shang. He'd been so angry...she couldn't blame him though, he had every right to be upset with her. "Trouble in paradise I see." Su whirled around and gasped when she saw Shan-Yu leaning against the fireplace. He had a scar around his eye that she didn't recognize, he looked up at her smiled then. "Oh I'm very much alive my dear, but I wanted to check in with you." He snapped his fingers so her clothes disappeared, leaving her bare before him. She flinched and stepped away from him, but he followed after her and pinned her against the wall. "I have missed you at my side." He purred as he thrust his fingers inside her with no warning. She cried out and looked away from him, it hurt...and Shan-Yu wasn't careful. Before she could really react he had moved his fingers out of her and then he thrust inside her. Tears of shame worked their way down her face as she quietly bore it, knowing it would be over sooner if she didn't fight him. He took her several times until she bled, then he pulled back watching as she collapsed to the ground with a smirk. "If only your fiancé could see you now." He said with great amusement. "I'll be back...keep quiet about all this and I won't kill him." He warned making Su flinch at the threat. She didn't even look up as he disappeared, her eyes glued to the floor. It was like her worst nightmare had come to life, the throbbing pain in her lower region making it even more of an reality. She shakily stood up and made her way to the bathroom, her feet unsteady as she stumbled into the bath. Her body felt grimy and dirty, so she started up a hot bath wanting to cleanse herself. As soon as the tub was full she slipped in and started scrubbing, trying to forget the touch of Shan-Yu's hands on her.

Shang moved through the house, the atmosphere feeling so heavy that it made his chest hurt. His gaze landed on the couch, remembering where they had been only the night before...where he asked her to marry him. The more he thought about it, the more he came to his senses. He never should have stormed out on her like that. Shang made his way to the bedroom but he frowned to see that she wasn't in bed. The bed hadn't even been touched all night. He checked the kitchen and the library but he couldn't find her. Maybe she had left him. Not that he would blame her after the way he treated her last night...Shang sighed as he moved back into the bedroom and sat down on the edge of the bed. Every muscle in his body ached from the lack of sleep but he didn't want to rest without talking to Su. The sound of water in the bathroom caught his attention and he immediately felt like an idiot. That was the one place he didn't look. He lightly knocked on the door before he peeked in, keeping his gaze averted from the tub so she could have privacy. "Su? Can I..can I talk to you?"

Su jerked when she heard Shang's voice, sheer panic filled her and she sat there unsure of what to do. Her eyes landed on her body and she swallowed hard, "Just give me a minute." She said just loud enough for him to hear. Once he had left, she focused on healing the extra cuts and bruises that now littered her body. She still felt dirty, like Shan-Yu's touch had left a darker mark on her that she couldn't erase. Once she was clean, she got up and drained the tub, watching as the blood stained water left the drain. Once it was gone, she grabbed a towel and draped it around herself. The nightgown she had worn earlier on had been taken, so she'd have to find something else to wear in her wardrobe. She bit down on her bottom lip and eased herself into her and Shang's room. The silence was tense and Su knew she was mostly to blame, she kept her gaze on her wardrobe as she reached in and grabbed a warm set of pajama's.

Shang nodded at her words and clicked the door shut once again before he moved back to the bedroom. He sat back on the edge of the bed, leaning on his elbows as he nervously held his hands together. The door to the bathroom opened and he glanced up at Su as she came out. She looked uncomfortable...he didn't blame her. Shang let her retrieve some clothes, staying silent until she got dressed. "I want to apologize to you...for storming out like that." Shang whispered as he kept his gaze averted from her. "I over reacted. I know that now, and I'm sorry. I just...that part of me caused me to lose you to Shan-Yu for a year. And..he's the one that made us lose our child." He shook his head and looked over at her. "I believe you when you say that he's changed. But if something happened to you, I would never forgive myself." Shang stood up and slowly walked up to her, gently taking her hand in his. "But if that's what you want...for me and him to become one...I'll do it. I'd do anything for you."

Su had to fight not to jerk as Shang spoke to her, he was apologizing...even though she had been the one to betray his trust. "Please don't apologize to me Shang...I...I don't deserve it. You're right that because of him I lost our child but I-He has changed. I don't want you to do this for me though...I want this to be done for you. Locking one of you up....inside your own head-" She broke off and sighed as she gently withdrew her hand from his grasp. "I know it gets lonely...and I don't want either of you to ever be lonely. I know it sounds silly but that's the truth." She explained keeping her gaze averted. "I love you both equally... and that has been really difficult to come to grips with. I never wanted to hurt you and I have....I...don't deserve to be your wife. I never have." She said and stepped away from him as she withdrew her engagement ring from her finger. "I don't deserve this Shang." She said quietly.

Shang looked down at her in confusion when she practically rejected his apology and his hands hovered for a moment once she withdrew her hand from him. Then she took the ring off of her finger and his heart sank. Before she could react, his hand closed around hers again and he pressed his lips onto hers. His other hand slid up into her hair before he forced himself to pull back and leaned his forehead against hers. "Don't ever take that off again." He whispered and slid the ring back onto her finger. "I love you..and I know he loves you too. He's stronger than me. I know that. I failed to protect you but if I join him...maybe I can do something right for once." Shang sighed and pulled back from her, running a hand through his hair.

Su whimpered as Shang suddenly leaned forward and kissed her. She kissed him back hungrily, her body lightly pressing against as she did so. When he finally pulled away she let out a shaky gasp, and watched as he slid the ring back onto her finger. "Don't say that...you are strong Shang. You both are, and you've never done anything wrong." She said quietly leaning forward and gently cupping his face as she smiled tenderly up at him. "You have nothing to apologize for...not ever." She said hoping he could tell just how serious she was being in that moment as she stared up at him. "I just-" She broke off and avoided looking at him, he'd somehow blame himself if he knew that Shan-Yu had been there while he had been gone. "I'm sorry for everything." She said quietly before she leaned up and kissed him again.

Shang leaned into her touch as Su cupped his face, his hand moving up to rest on top of hers. He could tell that she was avoiding looking at him and he frowned. His hand moved down and he gently lifted her chin so she was looking at him. "You have noting to be sorry about Su...you did nothing wrong. And I'm sorry that I treated you that way and that I walked out on you..." He sighed and pressed a kiss against her forehead. Though he could still sense that something was wrong. "Are you alright? Did...did something happen while I was gone?" Shang looked down at her, his eyes full of concern. She had never acted this way around him unless she had a secret. And those secrets were never good.

Su tried to relax, but all she could think about was Shan-Yu's threat. "I'm fine...Shang really." She said gently as she smiled tenderly up at him. "Besides...we didn't get to properly celebrate now did we?" She asked in an attempt to get his mind off of her current predicament. "And I do believe I owe you a full apology." She said snapping her fingers so they were both bare. Then she leaned forward and kissed him hungrily, hoping that she had taken him off guard enough that he'd soon forget that she had been worried. Su really didn't feel like having sex at the moment, but she didn't want Shang to feel guilty over Shan-Yu's sudden appearance while he had been gone. That just wouldn't be fair to him, and this was honestly the only thing she could think of to keep him occupied.

Shang barely even had time to respond before Su had rid them both of their clothing and she was kissing him. He stumbled back, his arms sliding around her form before he sat on the edge of the bed. His hands slid down and gripped her ass as he returned her hungry kisses. Just as he was about to pull her down onto him, he paused. She was trying to distract him. And damn she knew exactly how to. Shang pulled away from her kisses but kept her body close to his, his legs resting on both sides of her as he left her standing before him. "As much as I want to, I just need to make sure." He whispered as his hands rested on her waist and he looked up at her. "I know that you are trying to distract me so that means something is wrong. Why won't you tell me?" Shang clearly had concern in his voice, maybe even a little bit of hurt because of her secrecy.

Su let out a sad sound as Shang slowly pulled back, he wasn't going to let this go. "I'm trying to protect you! Something happened while you were gone and I-" She broke off with a little wince. "I don't want you to blame yourself...not ever and this is all my fault. I didn't even fight back I just-" She started crying then, knowing that she wasn't making much sense. "Shan-Yu stopped by for a visit...he made it quite clear what he expects from me. I'm so sorry! I know I've failed you again, and I am so sorry!" She sat down on the bed next to him still crying, as if she couldn't stop. How could she explain that their argument had drained her so much that she had felt unable to do much at all. "Shang you can't go after him...you can't...he'll kill you." She whimpered, the last thing she wanted was for Shang to get seriously hurt or killed because she hadn't been able to keep her mouth shut.

Shang felt his heart sink as Su seemed to explode with emotion and he loosened his grip on her. She was going so fast he barely had time to keep up with what she was trying to tell him. But the moment she mention Shan-Yu, his gaze darkened and he bit his tongue. But he couldn't get angry...not right now. Su needed his help and he was going to do what he could. "Su, it's okay. Listen to me this wasn't your fault." He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his chest. Gods he never should have left her alone. It seemed like any time he left her alone, something horrible happened. Why hadn't he learned his lesson yet? Shang tightened his grip on her at her last words and he hushed her. "I promise I wont...at least not right now. I swear I will make him pay for everything he has done to you but I understand. I'll stay quiet. Just please...please don't keep something like this from me." He begged as he made her look at him. Shang could feel his darker side thrashing inside of him at the news but he kept it hidden. His whole body felt like it was on fire as he fought for control. Now that she had told him, he had all but made up his mind. He had to release his darker side...without him, they would never be rid of Shan-Yu.

Su looked up at him with a horrified look, "You're still planning on going after him aren't you?" She asked quietly. "Shang...you can't! He could kill you and then-" Whatever she was about to say was lost as a swirl of dark smoke wrapped around her and then she was held there restrained by the smoky chains a strand even wrapped around her mouth. "You really should have kept your mouth shut...now I have no choice but to reveal myself." Shan-Yu said and appeared right next to Su. He smirked over at Shang and took in Su's naked body with appreciation. "Did you miss me?" He asked as he ran a finger down Su's side. She shrank away from him, shame in her eyes as she averted her gaze. Shan-Yu chuckled and glanced at Shang, "You really shouldn't have left her so unprotected...she's so weak after all." He said in a condescending tone as he glanced back at Su amusement in his eyes. "She was right about one thing anyway...I will have to kill you. Especially since you've been a real pain in my side...really...destroying my home? That's pretty low even for you." He commented with a shake of his head.
