Morgana flinched as Jafar's form disappeared and Damian fell to the ground. She couldn't tear her eyes from him...The Damian she had just seen wasn't the Damian she had slowly gotten to know. It seemed darker, pained...tortured. She had been so focused on him that she almost didn't feel the shackles holding her open and she didn't have time to catch herself before her body fell to the side. Every muscle felt sore and her wrists were bloodied and torn. It took her a moment before she pushed herself up onto her knees and looked up at Damian as he spoke to her. He tried to stand but she could tell that he was drained. Before he got too far, Morgana reached up and gently took his hand, pulling him back down to her. Morgana tugged him towards her until his head pressed against her chest and she wrapped her arms around him in a comforting, loving embrace. "You've already sacrificed so much for me...you don't need to protect me...but thank you." She kept her voice calm and low as she tried to console her brother. This moment reminded her of when they were little and he would have nightmares. She would hold him like this and hum their lullaby to him until he fell asleep in her arms once again. Without even thinking, Morgana fell back into the routine. That familiar lullaby left her throat as she hummed, her voice only just loud enough for him to hear.

Damian barely registered Morgana's words but he slowly nodded. "I should have...should have done that a long time ago." He said quietly, regret heavy in his voice as he admitted this. The way how she was holding him felt dimly familiar but he wasn't sure why that would be the case. All he could think about was sleep, and then he heard music. He must have drifted off because the next thing he knew he was in some plush room. It looked like the sort of place, nobles would have lived in...a place Morgana would have grown up in. Suddenly he heard the sounds of children laughing and he followed the sounds to a courtyard. One he immediately recognized as Morgana due to her features, and then...the boy next to her. It was him...but that was impossible. There was no way he could have known Morgana when he was a kid...that just wasn't possible. He froze when he saw two other figures approaching, they were both blonde and just looked like royalty. They were recognizable...Jafar had made sure that Damian had known who they were. Only...well they were smiling and had their arms around one another as they stared at the two children playing. "Damian, it's time for your nap son." The older Damian froze...the tone was so fatherly and caring that he was speechless. No...this couldn't be happening- with a gasp Damian sat up tears still in his eyes as he stared sightlessly at the ground. "Who am I? How...how do we know each other?" He demanded of Morgana...his voice thick with emotion.

Morgana felt herself ease as Damian started to relax and she looked down to see that he had fallen asleep. She gently shifted and leaned against the wall as she held him to her, her fingers gently running through his hair. Though as her fingers ran through his hair, she felt Damian tense and Morgana's heart sank. Before she could even try to console him again he sat up and looked so scared. At his words, Morgana swallowed and looked down at her hands. "I..I wasn't going to tell you, since you've already been through so much but if you want to know..." Morgana brushed the hair out of her face and gently took Damian's hand in hers. "Do you remember the brother I mentioned to you in the woods...he had the same name as you. He was taken from me when I was only six years old. He was four...We were such a happy family until..." Her words slowed as she felt her own tears coming up as she remembered that night. "You are my missing brother Damian...Jafar took you from us. Probably as revenge to my parents, I don't know but it broke all of us. That's why I let Jafar torture me...I couldn't leave you alone with him again. Not after he blinded you because of me..." Morgana brushed the loose hair out of Damian's face before she wiped away her own tears and pulled back. "I understand if you are upset with me for keeping this from you. I should have told you sooner."

Damian wasn't sure what to believe, but he could tell Morgana was telling the truth. "How can you tell that I'm your brother anyway? It's been years hasn't it?" He demanded, although it made sense considering that Jafar was his father. The more he thought about the more ridiculous his question sounded. "I'm not your Damian." He said roughly, and moved away from her. The whole thing sounded far too good to be true and even though he wanted to believe it he just couldn't. "You said so yourself when we first met...I'm not him." He said knowing that was a low blow of him to say. "You should go...you're free now..and I'd feel better if you did." He reached inside his pocket and pulled out a hefty bag of gold coins. "Here...this will buy you some new clothes and transportation back to the palace." Before she could protest he sighed, "I don't belong there...I'm too much of a freak. Besides I don't trust myself there, I'm afraid that I-" He broke off, too timid to admit that his father might have left some imprint on him that he was currently unaware of.

Morgana felt her heart drop as Damian clearly showed that he had no interest in even trying to regain his old life. A part of her was glad that he couldn't see the hurt in her eyes when he mentioned what she had said to him earlier. Of course then she hadn't thought he was her brother...he didn't even consider it then so she never questioned it. But she couldn't blame him for throwing that in her face now...she deserved it. If only she had tried to tell him sooner, he probably wouldn't have been harmed by Jafar. When Damian pulled out a bag of coins, Morgana looked down at it before she pushed it back into his lap. "I don't want your money." Her voice came across colder than she meant it to but she didn't care. Morgana pushed herself to her feet, her body only moving on her pure will to get away from him before she started to cry. She hated crying in front of people..."You're not a freak Damian. You are not your father...just remember that." She whispered before she moved out of the room, leaving Damian alone in the dungeon. Morgana found the cloak he had given her those two months ago and wrapped it around herself. It still smelled like him...Morgana looked behind her and down the hallway that led to where she had left Damian. If only he believed her enough to come home with her. Finally she forced herself to look away and venture back out into the woods alone. It took some time but eventually she found a familiar river..one that would lead her home.

Damian flinched at her tone as she pushed the bag back towards him and then she left him, leaving him alone again. He told himself that it was for the best, but hearing her leave made his worry more pronounced. All he could think about was if she got hurt again, and that was the last thing he wanted. He sighed and forced himself to his feet, letting out a whistle as he did so. His pet falcon Horus landed on his outstretched arm, "Keep an eye on her." He instructed before releasing the bird into the air. His falcon could be his eyes as Damian was able to channel his magic through it to establish a connection of sorts. He carefully made his way through the forest, using his magic to locate Morgana's presence. She had gotten fairly far on her own, and Horus was observing her from up above. Derek ran a hand through his hair, he had brought his hunting gear with him. He had a whole evening planned for himself. His eyes landed on a doe that was moving towards the lake for a drink. He pulled an arrow from his quiver and notched it to his bow, then just as he was about to let the arrow fly he saw a familiar figure appear. He cursed and lowered his bow before he straightened and approached her. His bow still had the arrow notched but he didn't care, "Well it's about time you showed up." He said dryly.

Morgana stumbled through the woods, using the trees to guide her as she moved. Her whole body felt heavy from exhaustion but she couldn't stop. If she did, she probably wouldn't move again and she didn't want to risk running into any bandits like she had the first time. She heard a few branches snap off in the distance and she saw a doe running in the opposite direction. At first she didn't think anything of it but then she heard a familiar voice. Morgana spun around and clutched the cloak around her small form. It was Derek...gods this was worse than bandits. But at least she didn't have to worry about him attacking her. Derek was an ass to her but he had never harmed her before. Her gaze shot to the arrow he still had notched in his bow and she did feel a little worried but she pushed it away. At the very least he could bring her home so she didn't have to walk the rest of the way. "Derek...I'm surprised to see you out here. I thought you would have left the kingdom by now." She said sarcastically before she shook her head. "I'm sorry...I am glad to see you though."

Derek smirked, not lowering his bow as he studied her thoughtfully. "Are you?" He asked after a moment. She looked like she had been through quite an ordeal, he'd have to thank whoever had been the one to give her that. "You look like shit...what happened to you?" He asked, honestly not caring about what she had gone through. Although he was curious about it and maybe if he faked concern good enough she'd fall for it and tell him everything. It wasn't hard to act like he was curious, as he really was...hmmm he could possibly shame her. If whatever had happened had been damaging enough, he could turn it to his advantage and make it so she'd have no choice but to marry him. Blackmail was fun...and Morgana was innocent enough that she'd no doubt be willing to do whatever it took for him to keep his silence. The very thought was amusing, he did like playing little mind games after all and even though she was an unfortunate product of incest she wasn't bad to look at. It wouldn't be difficult to perform his deed in the marriage bed, but he couldn't let her onto him.

Morgana almost laughed at his words. She didn't care if he was being genuine or not. All she really wanted in that moment was to vent and go home. Besides...if she really was to marry this man, she couldn't keep secrets from him. Not if she wanted to try and have a healthy marriage. Morgana sighed and looked away from Derek. "I was trying to leave you...on our wedding day. I shouldn't have, I know that. But before I could come to my senses...I was kidnapped." Morgana looked down at her hands, her finger lightly grazing the cuts and bruises on her wrists. Then she told him about Jafar and his connection to her family...and in order to do that completely, she had to bring Damian into the story. "He saved my life twice within the past two months...so in return, I had to tell him. Damian...he's my missing brother. I couldn't convince him to come home with me but if I can tell my parents that I've found him, they can help. After all these years, we can finally bring him home so please Derek..take me home. I need to get home." Morgana had shed a few tears while she was telling her story to Derek and moved closer to him, her body only a few inches from him as she looked up at him with a pleading look in her eyes.

Derek's face darkened considerably as she spoke, she had been planning to leave him. The thought angered him, and as soon as she was done with her story his hand whipped across smacking her. "So you would have shamed me?! What kind of idiot do you take me for? It's clear to me that you have feelings for your hopeless little brother, just like your disgusting parents had feelings for each other. Don't bother denying it, we both know it's true!" He spat, anger clear in his voice. His hand tightened on his bow and then he held up the arrow with his other hand. The pointed end he held close to her face, "You will marry me, and keep the news of your brother between us. The last thing I need is a usurper trying to take my throne!" He said moving the arrowhead to her cheek, digging the tip in just a little bit. "Step away from my sister." Derek's head whipped around to see Damian standing there. "And what are you going to do about it...cripple." He said a twisted smirk growing when he saw Damian's eyes.

Morgana hadn't expected Derek's reaction and as he backhanded her, she stumbled back into a tree. Her hands reached behind her and her nails dug into the bark as she fought to hold her stance. The skin on her cheek burned and she stared at Derek in horror as he screamed at her. "Derek, that's not true! Listen to-" Her words slid to a halt when he aimed his bow at her and she pressed herself back against the tree trunk. The arrowhead pressed against her cheek and she whimpered as it pierced her skin, causing a thin line of blood to bead on her skin. "It will never be your throne...not now, not ever." Morgana spat at him but her focus shifted when she heard Damian's voice. Her gaze shot to him and an overwhelming wave of relief washed over her. How had he even found her? She looked up to see Damian's falcon circling overhead and she bit her lip. Damian must have sent him to follow her...he was still trying to protect her even though he was upset with her. At Derek's words, Morgana glared at him before she lifted her knee and kneed him in the crotch hard enough for him to stumble back. "Don't you dare speak to him that way!" She demanded and raised her arm, ready to land a punch on his cheek.

Damian stepped forward in a rage as Derek moved to hit Morgana, catching his wrist just before he could slap her again. "I might be blind, but I really don't like it when people hurt her." He said darkly, his grip tightening on Derek's hand. His eyes had turned pitch black once again and then before Derek could react his energy started being drained from him. Yet the effort from having drained Jafar earlier on had taken it's toll on Damian and he staggered a little bit. His eyes starting to turn back to their normal hue before Derek straightened. "You're pathetic." Derek growled, slipping the arrowhead into Damian's side. Damian let out a gasp as he struggled to stay upright, "No..." he growled. Horus suddenly dove down and struck at Derek's eyes with his talons. "Get back beast!" Derek shouted, yanking another arrow from his quiver and nocking it to the string. Just as Horus arced into the air to attack him again, Derek let his arrow fly. Damian screamed in rage as Horus dropped out of sight, "What have you done?!" Damian was nearly sobbing at this point.

Morgana tensed as she prepared herself for another slap but Damian had come to her rescue yet again. But she knew he was still drained and it showed. She didn't even have time to react when Derek sank the arrowhead into Damian's side. "Damian!" Morgana was forced to stumble back as Damian's falcon started attacking. Gods she felt so useless. She couldn't stop any of this...not unless she gave Derek what he wanted. Her gaze shot up as Derek shot the Falcon out of the sky and the breath was stolen from her. She never should have left...now because of her, Damian was completely helpless. "Derek, stop it!" Morgana tried to move past him so she could get to Damian but Derek grabbed her wrist, twisting her arm to keep her away from him. A pained cry left her lips and it took everything she had to not fight against him. If she did, Damian would only be in more danger. He was already losing a good amount of blood and she had to help him before he got worse. "Let me go Derek! I give you my word...let me help him and I'll marry you. Please. You can have whatever you want. I'll be home in the morning, just let me help him for tonight. You owe me that much." Morgana begged, a tear sliding down her face as she finally tore her gaze away from Damian and looked up at Derek. The thought of marrying him made her sick but if it meant she could save Damian for once, she would do it.

Damian shook his head, "No...Morgana no." He pleaded, not caring that he appeared even more pathetic. Derek smirked, "You'll come with me now...and as for your brother well he'll just have to fend for himself." He said and gripped her wrist as he dragged her along behind him, not caring that he was hurting her. Damian let out a choked sob as he heard Morgana being dragged away, he was so exhausted and hurt that he couldn't even find the strength to stand. He hadn't been able to protect her or Horus..his falcon was dead, the pet that he had raised ever since it was a hatchling. Horus had been a constant companion and Damian missed his presence now more then ever. And now Derek was taking Morgana away to be his bride...the whole thing made him feel sick to his stomach. Derek led Morgana all the way out of the forest, not stopping until they had cleared it. "Now is the time to act like you're a young woman in love Morgana. So wipe those tears away and start acting like it. Make it a good performance and I might not lay another hand on you." He ordered as he glared down at her.

Morgana's eyes widened as Derek didn't even give her a chance to fight and she was forced to follow him. "No, let me go! Please!" She begged, her voice breaking as pain shot through her body from the way he was tugging her. Her free hand shoved against Derek as she tried to break free from his grasp. Though it was no use...she was too weak from the past few months and Derek was being so merciless. He was too strong for her and he would be even if she was in full health. Morgana looked over her shoulder at Damian until she couldn't see him anymore and a sob left her throat. Her shoulder felt like it was on fire and her throat was sore from begging and crying. As they made it out of the forest, Morgana glared when Derek spoke to her. "Then get your hands off of me, you pig." She spat before she snatched her hand away from his grasp and winced as she rubbed her arm. "You'll pay for this...for everything. It might not be now but I swear I will make you pay." She threatened as she stood at her full height, defiance clearly in her eyes as she looked up at him. Even if it was the last thing she did...she was going to make Derek pay for hurting her brother.
