Odette turned as John showed up and helped her stand back up, her body still slightly shaking but she tried to hide it. The only thing that helped was the way he kissed her..it helped take her mind off of it. It took her two months to finally consider kissing him but now that she had, she regretted not doing it sooner. The way John treated her was so different then Jafar...she knew that but after so long of being treated like that, she had almost forgotten what it felt like to be loved. The way he treated Morgana just made her heart soar. Odette gladly took his hand as they walked back to the castle, her free hand resting against her stomach. The child was kicking furiously and Odette bit her bottom lip as she started to walk slower as a reflex to the pain. Morgana looked down as Odette slowed and she leaned down to whisper if John's ear. "Mommy said not to tell but she's sad. The baby doesn't like us."

John slowed to a stop when Odette's steps faltered, his eyes widening a little at Morgana's words. Even though he hated admitting it, a part of him had noticed how Odette hadn't quite been herself lately. John had just assumed it was because of the pregnancy but now...his eyes studied her stomach and that was when he saw the sickening motions from her child. He bent so Morgana could slide off of his shoulders before he moved towards Odette's side. "I think it's time you took a nap." He said as lightly as he could, but he was struggling not to yell. Why hadn't Odette trusted him enough to tell him what had been going on? Before she could argue he swept her into a bridal carry, "Morgana, why don't you get your party dress on, I'll be there to check on you in a moment." He said signaling to Morgana's governess to lead her back into her own room. Once they had left, he carried Odette all the way back to their room. He waited until he had laid her out on their bed before he ran a hand through his hair. His eyes on her stomach, "Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you!" He pointed out with a frown. His hand moved towards her stomach and he concentrated as a light golden mist eased from his hand and towards her.

Odette was focusing so hard on not falling to her feet that she barely heard Morgana tell John their little secret. As John moved to her side, she shook her head and tried to hold up her hand. "I'm fine, it's just kicking...harder than normal." She managed to breath out but John wouldn't have it. Before she knew it she was whisked up into his arms and taken back to their room. At his words, she flinched as his voice got louder and she averted her gaze from him. The gold mist from his hand seemed to calm the child in her belly but she still felt lightheaded and queasy. "I'm sorry John...you've been so busy with fixing the kingdom that I didn't want to bother you with something so minor..." Only within the past few weeks the pain had moved from minor to major. "Morgana wasn't supposed to say anything but she hates keeping secrets from you...I know I shouldn't either...I'm sorry."

John's heart sank, even after all this time she still didn't trust him. "Odette...this isn't a normal thing for pregnancies. A baby shouldn't be able to kick that hard at all...I can feel the amount of bruises you already have and-" He broke off with a pained look. It honestly bothered him that she had hidden this from him, "This hasn't just recently started up has it?" He asked quietly. "Please be honest with me...I want to help you and in order to do that I need to see what exactly is going on." He explained as patiently as he could. "I might be running a Kingdom, but my first priority is my family...you..Morgana..even the child you carry." He said as he slid his free hand up to gently cup her face. "I love you...and I know it'll take awhile for you to trust me with everything, I just-" He broke off and sighed. "You'll need to stay in bed, I know the party is tonight but you're in no shape to be out entertaining. I'll take care of everything at the party, I just want you to relax and at least try to get some rest." He said once the baby had fully settled down.

Odette bit her bottom lip at his question before she sighed and shook her head. "I started to notice it about two months ago...at first it was only every now and then. I don't know why it's getting worse..." She confessed before she lightly ran her hand along her stomach. The child had calmed down mostly but she still felt a little kick before it stopped completely. A breath of relief left her as the child seemed to fall asleep and she slowly removed her hand. "It started with dizzy spells but as it's gone on, it's like I suddenly lose any energy I have. Like I'm drained in an instant...Morgana says the baby hates me...and I think she's right." Odette swallowed and a nervous laugh left her lips. "I know it sounds crazy...that's why I didn't want Morgana to tell you. I didn't want you to think I was going crazy again..." Even though she knew Jafar had taken part in causing her madness in her first pregnancy, it still scared her that it could happen again. Though as John said she would miss the party, she grabbed his hand and shook her head. "I can't miss her party. Morgana would be so upset with me." Odette begged, hoping that John would understand and at least let her attend.

John frowned and ran a hand down his face, "The baby hates you?" He asked the thought was more then a little disturbing and while it sounded ridiculous, he had a sinking feeling that Odette was right. He studied Odette's stomach and he frowned again as he saw the child kick her once more, before the baby seemed to calm down. "You're not crazy...whatever's going on is because of Jafar I'm sure of it." He said quietly as he sat on the edge of the bed. At her other words he gave her a look, "Morgana won't be that upset, she knows you haven't been feeling well." He pointed out. "Besides...you spent time with her this afternoon. If you start moving again, I'm afraid the baby will start hurting you again and the last thing I'd want is for you to be in even more pain." He continued hoping that she'd see that. "Tell you what...if you still want to go I can summon Aurora and see if she'd be able to check you. If she says it's ok for you to be up and around, I'll feel better about it." He said hoping she wouldn't be too upset with him for his request.

Odette knew John was right but she still hated to miss her daughters birthday party. She was about to protest but at his request, she paused for a moment. Aurora still wasn't her favorite person considering what she had done to her husband but Odette had let her check on Morgana after that night four months ago. Of course Odette refused to be in the same room when that was happening but she wanted to make sure Morgana was alright, especially after what the demon blood had done to John. A part of her still hated that John had to rely on Aurora at all. It made her...jealous. He needed Aurora a lot more than he needed her. After a moment, Odette nodded. "Alright...I would like to attend Morgana's party and if that means you have to bring Aurora here...I'll do it." Of course John had to know that Odette was still uncomfortable with that woman but she would do anything to spend more time with Morgana.

John knew Odette disliked Aurora, but he also knew that Odette wanted to be there for Morgana. "Thank you." He said gently and leaned down to brush a gentle kiss on Odette's forehead. He concentrated only a moment and then Aurora appeared in a plume of purple smoke, his eyes widened when she fully materialized. Aurora was wearing a towel that only hit just her upper thigh, and he knew it probably wouldn't take too much effort to see more then that. Her body was soaking wet, making the towel cling to her every curve and leaving little to the imagination. He wished he hadn't noticed...he hastily averted his eyes and cleared his throat. "I uh didn't realize you were bathing." He said uncomfortably. Aurora laughed then, "Well maybe that'll teach you not to summon me at odd hours of the day, I could have been naked." She pointed out, and that definitely was a mental image he didn't need. "Can you put some clothes on or something?" He asked wishing that he could sink through the floor. He could practically feel Aurora smirking at him before a purple mist surrounded her, and moments later she reappeared wearing a simple blue dress. "There now I'm decent." She said as she approached them. John nodded, keeping his face averted "I'm sorry for pulling you out of bathing, but Odette needs your help." He said, hoping to get things back on track. Aurora stepped by his side and he glanced over at her, relieved to note that the dress covered everything. Even though her skin was still wet and starting to make the clothes semi-transparent. He felt the urge to roll his eyes, he was almost sure that had been intentional. Aurora didn't notice and studied Odette with a frown, "The child...there's something wrong about it." She said after a moment and reached to take Odette's hand. "May I?" She asked carefully.

Odette blinked as Aurora suddenly appeared. The woman was only in a small towel that was probably too small for her body..it was like she might as well have been wearing nothing. Her gaze shifted to John and she immediately notices how flustered he got, making her heart sink. She never should have let him bring Aurora here...Odette still had her suspicions about John's time with that woman and this wasn't helping one bit. Just the way they spoke to each other...like they were so comfortable...it made Odette jealous. Though Aurora's words about the child caught her attention and her heart caught in her throat. "You couldn't have put that more gently..." Odette mumbled sarcastically before she let Aurora take her hand. The only reason she agreed to this was to make sure her child was alright and so she could spend time with her daughter tonight. If that meant dealing with Aurora for a few minutes, she could bear that.

Aurora frowned, "I apologize, I thought you wanted to know if something was wrong." She said quietly, being sincere. When Odette let Aurora take her hand, she focused her magic doing her best to be as discreet as possible. Her eyes widened when she sensed the demon blood coursing throughout the child, no wonder Odette was in such pain. What was it with men and forcing women to undergo this kind of torture anyway? She released Odette's hand looking visibly shaken, "Do you want the bad news? Or the really bad news?" She asked as she looked over at John. "What's wrong?" John demanded as he stepped by Odette's side looking even more protective then normal. Aurora looked between the two of them, "The child's been given demon blood...Jafar's handiwork no doubt." She said eventually. "The pain you've been experiencing will only get worse...and I'm afraid you'll probably-" She broke off with a wince. How to explain to John that his wife could potentially die from the child inside her would be extremely difficult. Although judging from the look in his eye he had come to that conclusion already. "I'd highly recommend that you take it easy from here on out. Too much exertion and I'm afraid it would speed up the process." She explained awkwardly, knowing that this would be hard to take in.

Odette rolled her eyes when Aurora apologized but she forced herself to hold her tongue. She couldn't be petty at a time like this. Though her chest tightened at the look Aurora couldn't hide and almost flinched from the way Aurora released her hand. When Aurora explained what was wrong, Odette paled. Jafar...how could he have done this? He wasn't a demon himself so how could that be possible? He had never injected her with anything...though her thoughts stopped there. She remembered waking up a few mornings with a small mark on the side of her belly but she had thought nothing of it. How could she have been so stupid. Her hands started to shake and she sat up, trying to push the covers off of her in a hasty manner. "I'm going to be sick..." She chocked out as she stumbled out of the bed and practically ran into the bathroom. Odette closed the door and locked it, not wanting anyone to follow her. When she had nothing left, Odette just sat next to the toilet in the bathroom and curled in on herself. Her whole body shook as she tried to fight the tears but she couldn't win...First Morgana and now this child. She could never escape Jafar...

John moved to follow after Odette, but he wasn't quite fast enough and the door slammed in his face. "Great...now she's panicking." He said and glared at Aurora. Aurora raised an eyebrow at him, "You wanted me to tell you what was going on. I was only trying to help! She needed to know the risks, otherwise her body would have given out on her much sooner! Is that what you would have wanted? Whether you and your wife like it or not, she needs help....and transferring the demon blood won't work this time. She'll need all the help she can get in order to get through the pregnancy and unfortunately you don't have many options. I can be there when she gives birth...but it won't be easy." Aurora said quietly. She silently wished that Odette had been smart and had confided in someone about what was going on much sooner. Maybe if she had, Aurora might have been able to help her more...but she couldn't do anything about that now. "I wish I had better news for you both...I really do...I know you love her." She said and while she could admit it, it didn't make the sting any less prominent. Why was it she always had to fall for the ones who were taken or who hated her guts? Gods she needed help..."Take care of her, I'll try and see if I can work more out." She said knowing that if she stayed Odette's condition might worsen...she clearly didn't like Aurora. John didn't say anything just nodded, keeping his gaze firmly away from her. Aurora sighed and disappeared while John knocked on the bathroom door. "Odette? Are you ok?" He asked carefully.

Odette was too busy focusing on keeping her stomach from flipping to even listen to what Aurora and John were talking about in the other room but in that moment, she couldn't have cared less. Why had she even let Aurora come here? Of course Odette knew something had been wrong but she had never dreamed of it going to that extent. Now because of this child, she could most likely never see her daughter again. She'd never see John again. Why had Jafar done this to her? Odette jumped as John knocked on the bathroom door and wiped the tears from her cheeks. "I'm fine..." She managed to whisper before she slowly got to her feet. After a moment, the lock on the door softly clicked and the door slowly opened. To her relief, Aurora had the good sense to leave but that didn't make her feel much better. "I'm so sorry John...I should have known that he would do this...I never should have kept this child but I couldn't.." She broke into tears again and buried her face in his chest, her hands clinging to him to keep herself on her feet.

John immediately pulled Odette into a hug, not wanting to let her go even for a moment. "We'll figure this out...I promise." He whispered as he kissed the top of her head. "You kept the child because you're a good person...and Jafar took advantage of that. We'll get through this pregnancy...and you will survive. I am not going to give up on you..not ever." He said as he gently massaged her back, doing his best to calm her down the only way he knew how. After a few moments he picked her up and carried her to the bed, making sure that she lay there comfortably. "I love you...I always will." He said as he pressed a tender kiss against her lips, loving the taste before he pulled away. "Now you need to get comfortable...try not to over work yourself." He said hating that he had to restrain Odette from going to their daughter's birthday party. "I'll have Morgana come up here before she goes to bed...that way you two can spend more time together on her birthday." He said gently.

Odette knew that John was right but she still blamed herself for letting things get this far. Now all she could do was try and stay strong. If she died during childbirth, she didn't want to even imagine what would happen to John and her children. At his words, she hesitantly nodded and squeezed his hand. "I love you too..." She hated to miss Morgana's party but just running to the bathroom earlier had nearly drained her completely. If John hadn't carried her to bed, she might not have made it that far. Once he left and returned to the party, Odette had drifted off to sleep, her hand gently resting against her stomach. The child stayed calm thanks to the energy from John earlier so it was enough to let her get a few hours of sleep in.
