Jafar moved into the king's bedroom, his gaze falling to the queen lying in the bed. His plans seemed to have worked. He scared her enough to drive her to this...now he was her only savior. "Milo told me of the situation, how can I be of service to you My King." Jafar had moved to stand on the opposite side of the bed so he was on one side and John was on the other. Her form was thinner than before though her baby bump was still prominent. Just as he neared her, Odette's body seemed to become restless for the first time in months. She looked like she was having a nightmare and it took all of his control not to smirk. "It looks like the sleeping potion is starting to take a toll on her...if she is left in this state, I worry about how much longer she and the child will survive..." Jafar knew he was prodding a dangerous area. The king was very protective of this woman..not that he blamed her. She was beautiful. Why she chose to be the mother to her own brother's child, the kingdom would never know.

John's eyes took in Odette's current restless state and he stepped closer towards them. "That's what I'm trying to avoid...I can't lose either of them. Do you know of any way that can bring them back?" He asked quietly. It took a lot to ask Jafar this as he didn't trust him one bit, but he was desperate at this point. All he wanted was to see her beautiful eyes staring into his own. "I'll do whatever it takes to have her come back to me." He added as he stared down at his wife with his eyes filled with unshed tears.

Jafar hovered his hand over Odette's body, sending a calming wave through her to keep her from getting more upset. "I do have something that may work. But I will need to use the powers of the old religion...that means there must be a price paid. If I save their lives, the balance of the world must be restored. I will warn you that I will not know what will be taken as payment." Jafar took a bracelet out of his pocket, mumbling a few words of enchantment. Once he was finished, he gave the bracelet to the king. "I will leave you in peace to make the decision on your own. Should you give her the bracelet, it will heal her. Within a few hours she should wake and be in perfect health." He bowed to the king before he left John alone with his wife. Once he was in the hallway, he couldn't fight the smirk that came to his face. Everything was going according to plan.

John stared down at the bracelet that Jafar had left him with and considered the options. He couldn't live without Odette in all honesty...all he wanted was to see her again. Of course there was a niggling doubt in the back of his mind that wouldn't escape him but he didn't care just then. Before he could change his mind, he slipped the bracelet on Odette's wrist. Of course nothing happened right away, but he had hoped something would. Instead he leaned back and watched Odette from where he sat. His thoughts went back to Jafar's words, what price would be paid he wasn't so sure but he didn't care.

It took several hours before Odette's body slowly started to stir. Her mind was in a fog that she didn't even know where she was. Every muscle in her body felt heavy so it took a moment for her to even try to move. She leaned her head to the side and saw John sitting beside her bed, looking like he had hardly slept or taken care of himself. "John?" Her voice came out small from not speaking for months. "Where am I? What happened?" She tried to sit up but she still felt so tired. Her gaze moved down to her stomach and she froze. She had gotten bigger. The child had a clear, prominent bump against her body and suddenly she felt a little tap. It was barely anything and then she felt it again, only harder. The child was kicking her stomach as if it was telling John it was alive and well.

John had dozed off in the chair, the months of hardly any sleep had gotten to him. He stirred though when he heard Odette's voice and glanced over at her, "Odette! I was so worried about you and our child!" He said relief filling his voice as he leaned over and kissed her, wanting to express to her how much he loved her. "I've missed you so much." He whispered against her lips before his hand moved to rest on her stomach. His eyes widened when he registered their child kicking her stomach, "...I thought...I thought they wouldn't make it." He said quietly, he was still worried about their child. "I'm so sorry I wasn't better able to protect you...I should have tried harder." He said and reluctantly leaned back in his chair.

Odette could barely respond as John kissed her, her body still slowly recovering. Normally she would have loved a gesture like that but something deep down in her was instantly repulsed by it. It was only a little bit and she quickly repressed it. That was the first time she had thought that way...in a way that maybe she didn't love John. She couldn't let that continue. Though her memory slowly started to return, remembering why she had overdosed. At his words, she shook her head and gently took his hand in hers. "It wasn't your fault John. I should have told you that it was happening again. I wasn't thinking....how long...how long was I asleep?" The last she remembered, she had only been three months pregnant but from the looks of it, she was further along now.

John ran his hand through his hair, nearly tipping his crown to the side with the motion. "Three months...I was going out of my mind with worry. I came here every day...I thought I'd never see you again." He quietly admitted, pain in his gaze. "Jafar was the one who found a way to bring you back, I should be thanking him. Without him....I don't know what would have happened." The thought terrified him. "I'm just glad to see that you're up and awake...it's so good to see you." He said and kissed her forehead. "I'll go and have something brought up for you. I love you." He whispered against her skin before he pulled back.
