Shang stumbled back as Shan-Yu punched him, not exactly expecting that reaction right off the bat. In that moment, Su attacked the man and Shang growled when she was thrown against the wall. As Shan-Yu turned to her, Shang waved his hand and Shan-Yu was thrown across the room away from Su's unconscious body. Then he grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the ground. "Touch her again and I will rip your throat out. And threaten my child again, you will lose that little organ you cherish so much." Shang growled as a knife appeared in his grasp and he pressed the blade firmly against Shan-Yu's crotch. "Now how about you calm down old man and do me a favor. Break that little spell you have over her and I won't burn everything you love." Why he was fighting so hard for her he didn't know but he sure as hell wasn't going to stop.

Shan-Yu glared up at Shang, not bothered by his words, "You've fallen in love with her." He said and snorted with laughter. "Oh that is rich...you've even turned soft." He noted with amusement. His eyes flashed a dark crimson and Su suddenly woke up with a cry her arms wrapping around her midsection. "Whoops." He said his smile turning dark as he gripped Shang's arm and twisted it sharply while he was distracted. "I always knew you weren't that smart." He snarled grabbing the knife as it fell out of Shang's grip and before Shang could react he stabbed him in the midsection. "You really think I wouldn't be prepared for something like this?" He asked as he twisted the knife sharply before he kicked Shang off of him and back onto the floor. Su looked up at Shan-Yu as he yanked the knife out of Shang and stepped towards her. "That child is dying inside you...and you'll join it soon enough." He said as he crouched by her side. His hand sliding up and gripping her hair, tugging her towards him. "I did enjoy you." He said and touched the necklace she wore. Su let out a sudden gasp as the necklace suddenly tightened so she was now being strangled. Her hands flew up to her neck and she tried in vain to take the necklace off but it wouldn't budge. Shan-Yu smirked and stood up then as he sneered down at Shang, "Have fun." He said before he roughly kicked him right where he'd stabbed him before he disappeared.

Shang growled at Shan-Yu's words and pressed the knife harder against his crotch, the blade lightly cutting into the fabric of his pants. Though before he could respond, he heard Su cry out in pain and his gaze shot over to her. His grasp lightened and before he knew it, Shan-Yu twisted his arm and Shang grunted as he almost fell to the side. "You son of a bitch, I'll-" His words cut off as the blade sank into his side and he was kicked off. The wound was deep so he was losing blood fast..but he couldn't abandon Su. As Shan-Yu disappeared, Shang struggled to his feet before he knelt down next to Su and tried to get the necklace off of her. Though no matter how hard he tried, the enchantment held against any physical attempt to remove it and he cursed. "Hang on..." It would be a risk but he would have to use magi to remove it. If he messed up, he could hurt her but if he didn't at least try, she would die. Shang held his finger firmly against the chain as he used his magic to heat it up until the chain snapped. Once it was off, he quickly ripped it away from her neck before she got burned and threw it across the room. She was no doubt still in pain because of the child so he placed a hand on top of her skin and he was forced to speed up the process of killing the child...It killed him to do so but the child was beyond his help now. If he let it continue, Su could die with it but if he at least sped up the process, she wouldn't be in pain for much longer.

Su's vision was dotting up and she was quickly losing consciousness again. She winced as she felt something burning her neck, and then sudden relief. The necklace had been ripped off, and she took in eager breaths. Her body shook from the pain of her miscarriage, and she started crying as she realized that she was losing their child. She didn't even realize the smell of smoke until the smoke started creeping under the door. "Shang...fire." She gasped, no sooner had she said this then flames started filling the room. It was getting even hotter as she sat there, although she could feel that her miscarriage still wasn't over. Not until she felt something wet on her thighs, without looking she knew that it was blood.

Shang glanced over his shoulder at her words and saw the fire bursting into the room. Good, he thought to himself. Let everything that bastard loves burn...Once Shang was sure her miscarriage was over, he lifted Su up into his arms and used his powers to teleport them to the little cabin he used to share with her all those years ago. After she was situated, he returned to Shan-Yu's club and watched as the people around him screamed and tried to escape. He waved his hand, locking all the doors and windows so no one could leave before he used his powers to make the flames stronger. Everything burned around him but it didn't make him feel any better...Shan-Yu had killed his child. And he was going to pay. After an hour or so, Shang returned to the cabin, his clothes stained with blood and smelling of smoke as he held a blood stained blade in his hand. He had killed them all...every last one of them. It wasn't even to feed. It was just a massacre. Shang snapped his fingers so Su was no longer in her lingerie but in a pair of comfy pajamas and he glanced at her over his shoulder as he removed his blood stained clothes. "Are you alright?" He asked before he glanced down where Shan-Yu had stabbed him, the wound still oozing blood despite how long ago it had been inflicted on him. The only reason he was probably still standing was from the adrenaline pumping through him.

Su wasn't entirely sure what happened next as the fire got worse, finally she felt Shang move them both. She looked around frantically and relaxed as soon as she recognized the tiny cabin. It had been years since she had actually stepped foot inside it, being back there reminded her of the years lost. She felt exhausted, the past few hours caught up to her and she slowly fell asleep not even registering when Shang left. When she woke up the smell of blood and fire greeted her, Shang was standing there holding a bloody knife. She might have been afraid but he didn't seem to want to kill her, not yet anyway. He snapped his fingers then and a set of warm pajama's covered her, a welcome change from the lingerie she had been forced to wear for so long. At his question, she flinched a little bit remembering the loss of their child and she hesitated. "I...I'm fine." She said quietly, watching him from the corner of her eye. Her eyes widened as she saw the wound on his side, "But you're not-" She said and stepped towards him, her hand gently touching his side healing him. "I know I shouldn't have but...I can tell you're exhausted." She said doing her best to focus on him now. After all he needed her help, and she needed a distraction after having lost their child. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner...I wanted too but he-" She broke off uncertainly not trusting herself to say anymore.

Shang stopped his motions when she suddenly stepped up behind him and placed her hand on his side. Within moments, he felt the wound close and he slowly turned to face her. The green color in his eyes seemed to soften as he looked down at her. His hand unconsciously slid up and took her hand from his side, the blood that has stained it slowly fading. "You don't need to worry about me, you've already been through enough. And I'm not upset with you...I could never..." Shang had started to lean down towards her, his lips just about to touch hers before he suddenly stopped. The green in his eyes grew stronger and he pulled back, his whole demeanor darkening back to what it had been for the past few years. "You shouldn't be out of bed." Shang suddenly spoke, the affection that had just been in his voice before was now completely gone. His words almost seemed like orders before he lifted her into his arms and carried her back to the bed. "And you don't have to worry about him finding you. I took care of that." A darkness showed in his eyes as he said that, an involuntary twitch of a sadistic smile coming to his lips as he remembered slaughtering all of those innocent souls. There was no trail that led them to this cabin anymore.

Su stepped up to Shang, just about to close the gap between them when he pulled back again. She frowned when she saw the change there but she chose not to say anything as Shang suddenly picked her up. There were times where just like earlier he displayed the loving Shang that she knew and loved. Then there was this other...darker side of him, although that part of him wasn't as bad it had once been. She blinked though when he mentioned that he had taken care of everything. Judging from the blood on his clothes and knife, she didn't really have to guess what he meant by that. She bit down on her bottom lip and curled up on the bed, "Normally I'd probably say that you shouldn't have done that but honestly- I'm glad." She said quietly, the only memories she had of that place were bad ones. Although Shang's presence had proved to be a helping factor, she rested a hand on her stomach. It was hard to believe the child that they had conceived was now gone as if it had never even existed. "Thank you for helping me, I really appreciate it." She said honestly as she glanced over at him almost shyly.

At her words, Shang glanced back at her and looked at her in confusion for a moment. The Su he had known would never have thought it was okay for him to murder so many people or even murder at all. Just the fact that she actually praised him for it...it made him see her in a whole new light. When she thanked him, he found himself moving towards the bed and leaned down over her, his arms on either side of her. For a moment, he stared at her thoughtfully before he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss directly on her lips. Eventually he pulled back and moved one hand to run along her stomach. "That was from the real Shang..." Then he turned and moved back to the dresser, pulling out a fresh pair of pants and a new shirt. Shan-Yu was right...He was getting soft. Especially when it came to her. The original Shang was starting to show through at times and he couldn't have that...if he took over again, this body would shut down and then Su would be left alone. If anything, he was doing her a favor by staying in control of her brother.

Su looked up in surprise when she heard Shang approach the bed and then he was kissing her. It was a gentle kiss, just like the ones her Shang had used to give her...and she eagerly returned it until he finally pulled back. Her body shivered as Shang ran his hand down her stomach, enjoying his touch as she always did. His words sparked her curiosity, she'd just assumed that her Shang was gone...but maybe- "What happened to him? Why is he gone?" She asked carefully, knowing full well that this darker version of Shang probably wouldn't appreciate the question. Although she wasn't as afraid of him as she had been when she had first met him, that could simply be because he hadn't tried raping her in awhile. A fact she was deeply grateful for, and as a result she did what she could to help him. In the beginning though, he'd helped her more as she'd been so different.

Shang paused at her question before he tugged a shirt over his head and took off his pants, replacing them with a fresh pair. A few minutes passed before he sighed and turned to her, his arms crossed over his chest. "He's not gone. Just resting. He has been since the night you were taken. There was a...complication that he didn't quite tell you about." Shang wasn't quite sure how to put it delicately for her. If she had asked him last year, he would have been blunt about it to the point that he wouldn't care if he hurt her but now...She had gotten into his head and she deserved the truth. Finally he moved towards her and sat down on the bed next to her. "Because he and I were fighting over control so much, the inside of his body was deteriorating. The night you were taken was when he gave up. He was coughing up blood and his systems were failing...The only reason this form still exists is because he released control to me. I don't require as much as him so the parts of his body that I use, I healed. But I cannot heal the others. If I release him to you, he will be dead within a few minutes." Shang knew that the way he told her hadn't exactly been light but it had been a lot better than what it could have been.

Su's eyes widened and she stared at Shang as he fully explained everything to her, he was being kind about it and for that she was grateful. "I could heal him couldn't I? Is it possible for me to save his life?" She asked quietly, her heart racing with unbidden hope. All she wanted was to be reunited with her one true love, although this version of Shang was kind enough. "It can't be easy keeping him alive all on your own...let me help you...both of you. Besides something tells me that you would be stronger working with him right?" She asked silently hoping she was right about this. She moved her hand to take his own, "I love you both...but if he doesn't get healed I'm afraid I'll lose you...both of you." She admitted, wondering if that made her a bad person. While this version of Shang could be dark and cruel, he did have a softer side...one she had grown to love.

Shang looked over at her, a hint of sadness in his eyes. The fact that he was even considering letting this happen made it clear to him that he had indeed fallen in love with her. Something that he had never planned on...But she was right. It was getting harder to control everything on his own, especially now that Su was bringing out the original Shang more so now than ever. "If you are certain that you can heal him...then I will let you. My concern is just that if you couldn't succeed, you will lose him. And me. If you cannot heal him, I will be forced to take over before he fades completely. This only gives you one chance. Are you willing to take it?"

Su hesitated as she knew that she would be risking a lot if she failed, but she had to try. "Yes...for both of you I'm willing to try." She said and meant it. "Just tell me what I have to do." If she lost them both she'd never forgive herself, but if she didn't try then she'd never know if she could have done so. "Are you willing to let me try?" She asked after a moment, knowing that she was asking a lot from him. She didn't mean anything rude by it, but if she did this and failed he'd no doubt be far worse off then he was in that moment. "Will...will you still be there?" She asked quietly, as she stared down at their intertwined hands. It was hard to imagine that she might lose one of them by doing this.

At her confirmation, Shang nodded and ran his thumb along her hand. "I'll still be there...you can call on me whenever you like. But I will let Shang control his body. I owe that to you. Should you wish to speak to me and not let Shang know, just whisper this word in his ear and I will take over." Shang leaned close to her, whispering a foreign word in her ear. It wasn't in a language that she or Shang would know which was exactly why he used it as his trigger. Little did she know, it was his name. His name in his native tongue. "Now...if you are sure you're ready. I will release control to him but I will warn you. Once I leave, his body will take a turn for the worst. Don't panic. Just stay focused and you will be fine. Shang won't be able to speak to you until he is fully healed...it might take a lot out of you so if you feel too weak, just say our word and I will take over." Once he was sure she understood, Shang shifted on the bed and laid down next to her to try and minimize the movement his body would have once he released control.
